Question... what the hell is...
I blew numbers and got a window seat home?
First you need a bit of background info..
The idea was born in the Pilbara region of Western Australia when the construction boom was on 2004 - 2013
And has now expanded its appeal to all mining towns and communities across Australia and overseas.
It started when workers flew up to do a job on a project, then after a while, money flowing into the back account, everyone's settling in, everyone’s quite comfortable with life….then someone suggests...lets go to the pub or wet mess or licenced premises.
Whatever the excuse normally you have your 3 or 4 pints and then call it a night, so when you wake up in the morning you beat the system and you blow zero’s...so you can go to work.
However, this particular night… people kick on and have 9 or 10 pints plus a bunch of bombs or shooters, thinking they can beat the system by waking up after 3 or 4 hours sleep, stuff themselves full of breakfast at camp then blow in the bag.
To their surprise they’re blowing numbers... most of the time you get a slap on the wrist and told sober up don't do it again and then come to work, but there are many repeat offenders out there...and they get given a window seat home (on the plane that is)
Because there were so many people that got a window seat home... then and now it was suggested a gift should be presented to that person or bunch of people that were flying out the next day... thus the idea was born....a rite of passage per say.
Today.... many mates buy their work colleagues a gift for reaching that grand status of being given a window seat home!
The I blew numbers stubby holder uses the sublimation printing process so the image will always remain forever and is made from neoprene or wetsuit rubber, which is the best insulator for stubbie holder as it keeps your drink cold while your hand warm.
